The Carnival 2026 theme, “Flight of the Sisserou”, is a bold celebration of Dominica’s resilience, beauty, and vision for the future. It draws inspiration from the Sisserou (Amazona Imperialis), Dominica’s National Bird and a protected species found nowhere else in the world. This majestic bird, perched high in the mountain forests, is both a symbol of pride and a call to action for the preservation of Dominica as the “Nature Island of the Caribbean.”
